NOTES
- No late starts!
Players should be prepared to play 30 minutes prior to game time. A forfeit will be awarded if a team is not ready to play at its scheduled game time. No exceptions! If you do not expect to have your goaltender available at game time, upon approval by the opposing captain a substitute goaltender will be allowed, but must be ready to play at game time.
- Games will consist of three 15-minute periods with a 1 ˝-minute intermission between periods. The time clock will be stopped for penalties and in the last two minutes of the 3rd period with a goal differential of 2 or less. Each game will be preceded by a 3-minute warm-up.
- Each team will be allowed two (2) timeouts per game, with one (1) timeout allowed per period. Timeouts will be thirty (30) seconds.
- In the event of a tie game at the end of regulation, a shootout will determine the outcome of the game.
- Two (2) points will be awarded for a win, one (1) point for a shootout loss, and zero (0) for a loss.
- NARCH is the Official Rulebook for the Smithfield Cup League.
- All roster additions or changes must be approved by the League Commissioner, Chris Cordova, prior to the start of play. Also, all approved changes must be given to the timekeeper prior to the start of play, this includes changes in a player’s jersey number.
- To qualify for player awards, a minimum of five (5) games played is required. Also, each team must maintain a level A & level B player balance for a minimum of five (5) games.
- League Fee is $35.00 per player. (Goalies play at no charge.) Make checks payable to Smithfield Roller Hockey. A fee of $10.00 will be assessed on all returned checks. All fees must be paid by November 9th. After this date, teams will forfeit all games in which a player who has not paid his/her fee has played.
- No profanity will be tolerated. One warning will be given, and then a two-minute bench minor will be assessed per violation.
- Changing clothes, stickhandling, and warm-ups in the isles will not be tolerated. Also, no outdoor skating will be allowed. All changing of clothes must be done in the restroom.
